Nido (meaning "nest") describes the nurturing classroom environment designed for infants. At our daycare, all of the child's developmental needs are met with warmth and care by Montessori guides, such as their desire to walk and talk, eat and drink independently, and explore the world around them. • As soon as they're ready, the children use real, child-sized dishes, glasses, and utensils.• Via our app Transparent Classroom, you’ll get a unique window into your child's day, with updates on their eating, sleeping, and toileting routines on a daily basis. Available at our Aldie & Ashburn Village locations.
Toddler (for ages 16 months - 3 years old)
In this program children make astonishing achievements in terms of communication, independence, physical movement, problem-solving ability, and social interactions. • The guides give lessons on social norms like how to greet a new person.• The child is exposed to real, rich, precise, and varied vocabulary and grammar.• Toilet learning is a crucial milestone, and thanks to our mixed-age classroom, chances are your child has already seen their peers going to the toilet on their own, and is already curious and inspired. Available at our Aldie, Ashburn Village, Broadlands, Chantilly, Reston, and West Alex locations.
Children's House (for ages 3 - 6 years old)
Students choose their own activities, building knowledge, confidence and social skills along the way. A strong focus is on practical life activities, such as plant watering, sweeping and mopping the floor. These activities inspire children to follow a complex motor sequence, independently, in order to accomplish a meaningful task. • The use of sensorial materials, such as the pink tower or cylinder blocks, develops the child’s scientific mind as they compare, contrast, place in order, and evaluate, using their hands and mind together.• In our kindergarten program, the classroom has a harmonious atmosphere where children develop their own supportive society. Available at our Aldie, Ashburn Village, Broadlands, Chantilly, Reston, and West Alex locations.
Elementary (for ages 6 - 12 years old)
This program combines classical academic subjects, such as math, literature, and science, with student-led project-based work, allowing each child to work at their own pace and reach their full potential. • There's a peaceful, busy hum in the classroom, as the children are practicing vital communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills that will serve them for a lifetime.•The guide is available to support when needed, but also know when to take a step back and let a child immerse themselves in their passions. Available at our Aldie, Broadlands, Chantilly, and West Alex locations.
Spanish and Mandarin Immersion
Our language immersion programs are identical to our reputable Montessori program, but with one core difference... they are in Spanish! Early childhood is a brief window in which your child can acquire a second language naturally and easily, without conscious effort. This is because the brains of young children, especially before age six, are soaking up all kinds of knowledge at an incredible pace, and are especially attuned to the acquisition of language. Spanish Immersion is available at Chantilly and West Alex locations.
